It's Sledding Time!!

Today Preslee and Brett came over to our house and we decided we wanted to go sledding on Memorial Hill, not a good idea.  We started walking up to the hill and Brett and Trevor decided they didn't want to be by the girls so they walked ahead of us, and we wanted to take their picture but they kept moving away and wouldn't let us but we finally got it.

 Then we got to the fence, we jumped over it, looked at the hill and said Oh boy that's a long walk up. After a while we all got tired of walking and just laid down in the snow and then started all over again.

As you can tell by how Preslee is walking she was TIRED!!

We finally got up to where we wanted to be, we got on our sleds, and off we went....

Well not really. We couldn't go any where, I guess we just need to wait awhile until it actually packs down a bit. That's Trevor he fell off and did a face plant into the snow! Haha!

For those of you wondering about the mouse.  He lived at our house for 2 1/2 weeks until the Bonner family party and then he was a fabulous white elephant ( mouse) present. He ended up with Natalia only long enough for her to look inside the bag and it was quickly handed to Bryton who took little Desperaux to college or where ever he is at the moment!
We had an amazing Christmas at the Cluff house!  Brandon was called out to plow snow about 4 a.m.  About 7:45 the kids tried to wake up mom!  I told them to call their dad and he headed down the mountain!  I had time to shower, make breakfast and throw the turkey in the oven before the opening of the gifts began.  Paige loved pulling the paper off the packages.  I think she enjoyed what she found inside the paper as well.  Zack, Camille and Trevor also took turns opening their gifts one at a time and it really looked like they were thrilled with the gifts they received.  I was busy taking home videos to remember to take still photos as well but luckily Camille got a Camera for Christmas and started snapping a few pictures to share.  I hope you all had such a wonderful day too!  Brandon will probably be out plowing non-stop until this storm lets up so every one cross your fingers that he gets some sleep in the next few days

Polar Express

Camille and Preslee decided to be Santa's Elves on the Polar Express this year!  I know that she has really enjoyed being on the train and helping to spread a little Christmas Spirit especially to all the little kids that come.  I know that they have one more appearance this Friday night if any of you want to catch them in action!  Merry Christmas Everyone

Advanced Little Wasp!

Trevor has really been enjoying wrestling this year!  I think it might have something to do with the fact that so far this year he hasn't been beat!  I have really enjoyed watching him wrestle.  He does it with a smile on his face the whole match and I have even heard him laugh out loud a time or two.  I don't know what his opponent think of that but it seems to be working for him.  He works hard at practice 4 nights a week and says that Shayne and Landon are really fun coaches even when they make them run again and again!  Some nights he even comes home and does some extra sit ups,  wall squats and push ups just to keep up the winning streak!  Way to Go Toast!

RECIPES PLEASE!

I know that life can be very very hectic and my life certainly is.  I was just thinking it might be fun to get a few quick and easy dinner ideas.  I know that you all have them!  Please Please Please share them with me!  my family thanks you in advance!

Camille brought home this pork chop recipe and we tried it on sunday and I really liked it and it was extremely simple!

4 to 6 pork chops

layer mild/chunky salsa on the bottom of a glass baking dish

lay pork chops on top of salsa

mix 2 cups grated cheddar cheese,  fresh chopped mushrooms and 2 tbls maple syrup together and spoon over the pork chops

bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes at 375.

Thats it!  Give it a Try and Don't forget to leave your easy dinner recipes!

ONE COOL KID!

Trevor loves to make Paige as cool as he thinks she is and she seems to enjoy all his attention!  I just enjoyed sitting back and watching them interact

Trevor Wins the GOLD!

Trevor went to his first wrestling tournament this weekend and won all three matches to bring home the gold!  Last year when he headed to these tournaments he really struggled and got beat up alot and he has really learned alot over the last year and he really did shine at the tournament!  He was very aggressive and that makes  me very happy!  He won by points,  one pin, and a bye!  He said on the way home that winning the medal made waking up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning all worth it!  Big thanks to Uncle Landon and Shayne for coaching him!  He is loving it so far!  Hope he can keep it up!  I just thought he looked cute loving on Paige so had to post that as well

GREAT NEWS!

I am so thrilled for Zack!  He made the sophomore basketball team!  He was really excited when he let me know he actually made it.  He has worked really hard on getting better and better at basketball and it looks like all his hard work is paying off!  The meet the team night is Nov 21 at the High School if any of you want to come.  It should be a fun night! Way to Go Zack!

The End of Cross Country Season

Zack did very well in the cross country world.  He wasn't sure that he would enjoy it much, and I am pretty sure he didn't love it like baseball,  but he really improved on his time.  He is a much quicker runner now then he was just 4 months ago.  I am really proud of him for sticking with the season and keeping his grades as high as he did.  He has been a very busy kid and does very well in the attitude department too.  I'm really lucky to have such great kids!

Happy Halloween

It was really nice to have a warmer Halloween this year!  And it was on a Friday!  Gotta love not having to try to go to bed with a sugar high to get up for school the next day! 

Paige helped mom and dad pass out candy to the trick or treaters.  There didn't seem to be very many of them this year.  Camille went with a couple of friends and made an excellent Nerd!  She pulled it off brilliantly and Trevor went with another friend and he decided to be Michael Jackson  Big Shocker there!!  Zack went with a group of friends to a dance and of course is at that wonderful age of almost 16, were dressing up is not cool but stealing candy out of your siblings bag is very cool!

Cluff Family Projects

We have been very busy doing some much needed projects around the house.  Brandon has finally finished a bathroom for the boys in the basement!  Check out his handy work!

Then...we got to spend a saturday climbing trees and cutting them down!  Sounds alot more fun then it was but it looks great so far!  The kids and Brandon worked their guts out!  We can finally see the road from our front window!  Don't you wish you were there!

4 Months Old

I can hardly believe that Paige is already 4 months old.  She has truly been a delight to have in our family and we all adore her.  She is spoiled rotten!  I took her to get her picture taken again to match the pictures on my wall of my other 3 kids when they were 4 months old, and thought they were so cute I can't help but share!

Wasatch Cross Country

Wasatch boys came in 4th following Park City, Uintah and Union. Leading was Chris Hronek - 17th, Christian Lundskog - 18th, David Ryan - 23rd, Braedon Cook 24th and Kamen Beckstrand. Zach Cluff finished 33rd and Pierce Kent 34th. Cooper Hall, Eddie Mergist and Ryan Ahlberg brought in the rest of the boys team. Cole Evans was counted on the Waterford team. Adjustments have been made. We look forward to the Men's team providing us with a state contender.

This is Paige's Blessing Day in our front yard.  Paige is wearing the same dressing that Camille wore on her blessing day and I also wore it when I was blessed.  Many, Many years ago in the old days like my kids would say.   Aunt Mary made it for me from lace that she brought over from England on her trip when she was 16 years old.  I think this picture is kind of funny because Brandon has lost alot of weight since he bought the suit and he had to suck the pants in so far they have pleats that aren't supposed to be there.  I don't want to talk about what I look like!  That is all I have to say about that!

Camille and her friends went to Classic Skating for her 13th birthday party.  They are all really cute girls and it was alot of fun to watch the interaction.  One of them (Jensyn Baker)  won the limbo contest.  I thought it was crazy that Classic skating hasn't changed at all since I was a teenager and still seems to be where alot of teenie boppers hang out!

Yes, I made my kids go for a ride to Dutch Canyon to see the fall colors.  They weren't so excited about it but were good sports when I wanted to get a photo.  They really are the loves of my life!

Finally a blog!

I thought this was a great picture of Brandon training for his triathlons in the living room!  It just made me laugh so I had to put it in!

We finally figured out how to do a blog! I wonder how long it will last. Well Zack is now 15 and will be 16 and getting his license in December, he has been accepted to Coast to Coast baseball, and is the youngest player to be picked from Utah and will be going to Florida to play in July 2009. He is also a Sophomore in High School. Wow how the time flies by! Camille just barely turned 13 in September and is in the 7th grade. She just barely finished softball, she played mostly catcher and 3rd base, and she really enjoyed it. She is in the GYC (Governing Youth Council) program and really has fun doing that.  Trevor is now 9 turning 10 in December also. He is in 4th grade.He also plays some baseball himself. He plays for the Heber Creepers, (Creeps) and really enjoys that too. He is so fun to be around and always is nice to everybody.  Paige is almost 4 months old. She is learning to smile, laugh, coo, rollover, she likes to stand while you hold her, and every once in a while she will even hold her bottle!!! She is such a smart baby and is always fun to be around, she knows how to make a person smile. Well let's just hope that this blog will last!
